~~#'@+ In the end, 'Escapism' didn't turn out to be a concept album, but it certainly had a central theme. The album tried to ask, how do you find a balance between your own inner world and the harsh realities you're faced with everyday? How do you mentally and emotionally balance writing an album at night while you mop the floor during the day? You don't have to write songs to understand what it feels like to see a huge gaping chasm between the world you want to live in, and the world you go into every morning when your alarm clock goes off. If the band possessed all the answers, they'd be living on top of a mountain somewhere, growing long and distinctive looking beards and answering deep, mysterious questions from wayward travelers. Instead, maybe it's enough that they take listeners along their own journeys as honestly as they can. @@;'[}}=+
